Dear Beloveds,
I'm a sucker for a good story, especially stories that invite me to look within myself. As we approach the upcoming Easter holiday, I can't help but wonder what happened in the hearts and minds of the disciples in the three days between Jesus' crucifixion and his resurrection. These people had spent years of their lives studying their religion and growing a movement they believed in, and in one moment -- POOF- it was all gone. Everything they had built their existence on was toppled. It must have felt so unjust, so scary, so permanent. But was it? Was all lost? I hope they had the wisdom to stay in the question, open for the miracle to shine through.
Perhaps you have a scary situation in your life that feels like a done deal. Maybe you are seeing injustice, and feel like hope is lost. But is it? This Sunday, let's explore the nebulous in-betweens as we ask, "Can I Stay in the Question?"
Much Love, Rev. Lezli
